A Bespoke Approach to Design

Rapid growth in the optoelectronics industry has altered the way products are designed and manufactured — with the ready availability of off-the-shelf components leading many companies to differentiate themselves with unique software, rather than hardware.

However, we believe that bespoke hardware solutions have particular relevance in an age of mass production, giving top-tier customers the opportunity to implement ideas and differentiate their products in a diverse range of markets.

The 26th March 2019 issue of New Electronics magazine explores how the bespoke approach helps to encourage innovation, differentiating your products as well as protecting your supply chain. Matthew Ashton, Pacer's Components Divisional Manager, examines the pitfalls of standardised design and explores how a bespoke approach can enable OEMs to secure their supply chain, realise unexpected savings AND improve their products.
