Optoelectronic Technology and Displays at EDS 2019

Once again Pacer is supporting EDS - the Engineering, Electronics and Embedded Design Show - at Coventry's Ricoh Arena next week - show dates 16th and 17th October. This year we are sharing a bigger stand (K2) with our sister company Solid State Supplies.

Pacer will be demonstrating two types of imaging at EDS – Time of Flight (TOF) Imaging from ESPROS and Thermal Imaging from Excelitas. Our engineers can show both in action and explain the pros and cons of the different imaging technologies. Applications include motion detection, energy management, people counting, security and fire detection.

We'll also have Optotune beam steering technology in action. A pioneer in adaptive optics, Optotune has developed and patented a technology which has enabled a range of fast, electrically or manually tuned optical devices using soft polymer-based materials. Applications range from automotive (LiDAR, dynamic headlights, ADAS) and vision (field-of-view expansion, zoom) to biometric (eye-tracking), diagnostics and 3D printing.

Pacer offers a design and engineering service to customise displays for end applications. Within our Weymouth facility, we are able to undertake customisation of a wide variety of display panel technologies, assembly of touchscreens in a class 7 cleanroom environment, assembly of display modules into final housings with bespoke connectivity if required, production engineering and test & certification. We have extensive experience with display and HMI systems for harsh environments and for military, aviation and marine applications. Our engineers can show examples to visitors and explain how our services can supplement their own resources.
