We are currently recruiting for an experienced cleanroom technician at our facility in Weymouth, Dorset.
Pacer is a growing supplier of optoelectronic sensors used in the defence and medical industries. We have recently moved into a bespoke double unit within the Granby Industrial Estate and have a state-of-the-art class 7 cleanroom, open plan shop floor, comfortable, clean, and light working conditions and free on-site parking.
Reporting to the Weymouth Operations Manager your main duties will include:
- Preparation and attachment of LED and transistors to ceramic substrates.
- Optical alignment.
- Manual and automated component placement.
- Manual and automated wire bonding.
- Manual programming of both component placement and wire bonding machines.
- In-process inspection and reporting.
- Electro-mechanical assembly.
Skills required for the role include:
- Familiar with working in an ESD & Production environment.
- Familiar with using and programming NC controlled placement machines is highly desirable.
- Any experience working with opto-electronics is highly desirable.
- Must have good hand to eye co-ordination.
- Knowledge of IPC or IPC certified is desirable.
- Must be both self-motivated and happy with working as part of a team.
- Ability to read engineering drawings or schematics is desirable but not essential.
- Being able to follow detailed process instructions is essential.
- Experience of working within a cleanroom is desirable.
All tooling and PPE required for the position will be provided by Pacer.
