Mitsubishi Curved TFT

A new curved (concave) colour TFT-LCD module from Mitsubishi Electric combines environmental ruggedness with a curvature radius in the 700mm to 900mm region. 

Mitsubishi Electric has established mass-production technology for the new curved (concave) colour TFT-LCD module, combining an attractive design with environmental ruggedness and wide operating temperature.

The module offers a curvature radius in the 700mm to 900mm region, with optical performance equivalent to that of flat screens. The new mass-production technology ensures fast, high quality production from TFT panel production to bonding of the curved cover glass. Optimized mechanical and TFT panel design techniques achieve white and black luminance uniformity equivalent to that of flat displays. The displays have excellent visibility, even in bright environments, thanks to super-wide viewing angles of 176 degrees, both horizontally and vertically, high brightness of 1,000 cd/m2 and high contrast ratio of 1,000:1.

The high-resolution (167-190ppi) display easily handles rich information, and vibrant colour visibility is achieved with enhanced colour reproduction (NTSC ration Typ.84%). The operating temperature range is from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, making this module ideal for use in automotive and marine applications, or outdoor retail environments.
