Carbon Dioxide
Access Laser carbon dioxide lasers (CO2 lasers) offer high stability, portability and adjustable wavelength at reasonable cost. Access Laser CO2 lasers have been widely used in applications requiring stabilised lasers such as spectroscopy, biotech research, environmental monitoring, process control, defence and security technology, and even measurement of gravitational waves, as well as more conventional applications such as marking and cutting.
Lasers range from 400mW to 50W average, with peak powers of up to 1kW with Q-switching. SCROLL DOWN for a video overview of the three main cooling options available with Access Laser CO2 lasers: Passive Air, Fan & Water Cooling. This is a key consideration for any application using CO2 lasers as the symmetric cooling of the tube directly affects power, stability & mode quality.
Please note: The L20 and L50 models are being replaced by higher performance, better value models. As of January 30th, Access Laser will no longer accept orders for the L20 and L50 laser models, which will be replaced by the AL20 and AL50 laser families - eg the L20G will be replaced by the AL20G, and so on. AL models have design improvements that can increase gas lifetime in the field, are more mechanically robust, and offer a superior power - stability combination. Please be aware that the physical volume of the models will change.
Access also offer carbon monoxide lasers for medical, aerospace and materials processing applications.
